Indian Feast

We just had a few days off up here in Norway and we air bnb’d a cabin with no shower, no running water. We drank the well water from down the road, which was really delicious water. And it cooked some really delicious food. We did a big grocery run at an Indian grocery store before we left the major town and left with a big bag of basmati rice, mung dal, a few pounds of spinach, cilantro, mint, tomatoes, onions, ginger, garlic, coconut cream, some dried red chilies, some Indian spices, some cooking oil, and various fruits, some frozen peas and some other vegetables. First night was spicy creamy saag with rice. 2nd night was dal and rice, and for the 3rd night, the leftover rice and vegetables made a very special pulao. It has been a great break up here in the beautiful snowy forest. Psyched to be on the road again! Indian food is medicine. On a train to Stavanger, NO.
